Born in 1961 in Aveyron, I studied photography and video (MA in audiovisual). I first worked as a cameraman and editor for films, short films and publicity. I then turned to 3D images and then specialised in animation.
Self-taught, I started to exhibit my first series of ink pictures in 1990. Later I worked with acrylic on large wooden panels.
My pictures reveal imaginary rocky landscapes lacking all forms of life apart from masses of mist masking the landscape, hiding and revealing it - open to interpretations that are always renewed.
Rocks carry ancient prints, an archaic memory. The ephemeral cancels obscures and unveils them, letting one see them only as changing shapes.
Deconstruction and reconstruction follow each other weaving their web. The landscape appears to reappear anew. The mist writes itself again, showing us the materiality of time.
